Nominate Voting Delegates

Members must advise LGNSW of the names of their nominated voting delegates (for voting on motions and, where applicable, for voting in the Board election) by 5.00pm AEDT on Friday 7 November 2025.

Voting delegate nominations can be completed through the registration portal. The number of voting delegates to which each member is entitled for voting at the Annual Conference is listed in Appendix A.

LGNSW is unable to accept any voting delegate nominations after 5.00pm AEDT on 7 November 2025. However, in the case of voting on motions, a member may, subject to the LGNSW Rules, subsequently notify LGNSW of a change to a voting delegate who has already been nominated (a voting delegate substitution).

Substitutions aren’t allowed for the Board election, however, subject to the LGNSW rules, if a nominated voting delegate cannot be present to vote in the election, they (the “absentee”) can appoint another delegate from the same member to exercise the absentee’s right to vote in the election. The Absentee Form is available from the AEC Returning Officer, Ishtiaq Ahmed.
